About Competition Hammer Camps
Purler Wrestling Academy’s Competition Hammer Camps are in-season weekend camps held from August through May. These camps are designed for wrestlers who want more live wrestling, more confidence, and more technical growth throughout the season.
Eight weekends focus on mastering the Purler Wrestling Academy Elite program’s core drill routines—the same system that helps produce more than 120 state medalists each season. Two weekends each year are dedicated exclusively to leg riding.
Whether your wrestler is already highly competitive or still growing into the sport, these camps are built to sharpen skill, increase mat awareness, and accelerate development.
Choose Your Camp
Choose the camp that fits your wrestler’s season, style, and schedule. Every Competition Hammer Camp is built to combine skill development with high-volume live wrestling in a serious training environment.

Why Attend Competition Hammer Camps?
At each Competition Hammer Camp, wrestlers train alongside state champions, state medalists, national-level talent, and serious athletes from across the region. These camps are designed to help wrestlers get a massive amount of meaningful live wrestling while also improving their technical foundation.
Each camp combines live wrestling experience, structured drilling, Purler core skills instruction, and confidence-building repetitions.
Some families spend over $1,000 traveling to national tournaments for only a handful of matches. At Competition Hammer Camps, wrestlers can get the equivalent of dozens of live matches in a single weekend while also improving the skills they can continue drilling at home.

Important Camp Facts & Questions
Commuters
Meals are included for all commuter wrestlers.
Female Overnight Campers
For girls attending co-ed camps, we do not have separate housing, so they must register as commuters. Girls-only Competition Hammer Camps do include bunkhouse overnight accommodations.
Training With Camp Staff
It is common for our staff to drill, spar, or go live with wrestlers during camp. Coaches are there to teach and help—not to win or go hard. If you do not want your wrestler training with staff, please opt out by email and include the wrestler’s name and camp date.
Security Cameras
For safety, security cameras are used throughout the facility, including wrestling rooms, bunkhouses, pavilion, kitchen, and outdoor common areas. Bathrooms and shower houses are the only private spaces without cameras. Wrestlers must change in bathrooms or shower stalls, not in bunkhouses.
Newer Wrestlers
Beginner wrestlers with at least one year of experience are welcome. Our staff works hard to make sure newer wrestlers feel included, supported, and challenged at the right level.
Cancellation / Refund Policy
All refunds are issued as camp credit toward a future Purler Wrestling camp. No credit is given if a camper is dismissed for disciplinary reasons or chooses to leave on their own. For injury or illness, a prorated camp credit will be issued for remaining camp days. Campers may transfer to another date if space is available.
Hotels / Travel
Local hotel options and airport transportation information are available for families traveling in from out of town.
A Better Investment Than Expensive Tournaments
Many families spend over $1,000 on travel, hotels, food, and entry fees for a tournament that gives their wrestler only a few live matches. Competition Hammer Camps are built to give wrestlers far more live experience, better coaching, and more skill development in one weekend.
For just $185, your wrestler gets elite instruction, high-level drilling, more live wrestling, and a better development environment.
More Reps. More Confidence. More Results.
Give your wrestler a weekend that builds both competitive experience and real skill. Spots are limited and these camps fill quickly.
